Human beings are a gifted lot….but again this species of ours could also precisely be described as …

Now the description although very suitable doesn’t seem to sound pleasant …and why not…the truth is often bitter to swallow.
The more I interacted with people during my graduation and schooling days….the more of a misanthrope I became…..Of course there were exceptions but again everyone had that human factor…some in excess and some little….that tinge of jealousy….of selfishness ….and above all that human ability of justifying things against your conscience…..
Now I’ll try to classify people into different genres according to their behaviors….To begin with…we have an achievers’ society….whereby all achievers of different or same field are suppose to be good friends and compete among themselves….may be I’m saying this as an under achiever….but at times I’d been an achiever and had opportunities to be a part of such esteemed groups….but it is quite suffocating for me. .
Then we have a group of people who’ve just tasted success ….and they just can’t help not only flying to the ninth cloud but permanently staying there ….it’s really interesting to see the level of self obsession they have…I mean everyone is self obsessed….and that is very human….but these people just can’t help living in a fool’s paradise.
Then we have a group of people who are either too afraid or too dumb to take on the world……my elder sister often tells me …and she emphasizes …that no one is dumb……I’ve always begged to differ….being dumb or afraid of the world around you is not a sign of weakness….but not making an effort to overcome your state sure is….to go further….knowing your weaknesses and not making a sincere effort to overcome that sure is a sign if weakness….but do not get me wrong….there are times where because of various constraints one need to act against our wills……this can happen once or twice but not always…..cowardice is running away from yourself….your fears…. Facing yourself in a clean mirror is a big deal…….

Everyone wants to be better ….if not the best…..these are degrees of comparisons…..this is what is a necessary evil in the development of the human race….Where this comparison has given us improved lifestyle over the decades…the same will of improving over others is the root of all wars….be it saddam hussain’s genocide campaigns against the Kuwaitis for oil…..or The gulf wars….on going through history and analyzing it….one can easily conclude that there is a thin line between greed and competition…..every coin as two sides good and bad….black and white….Now the question arises as to what is the best way to lead your life…..the answer I guess is quite simple…..One need to live close to our conscience……giving justifications to our wrong deeds is very easy….but no one can escape his/her conscience…..in the due course of time when things come back to you….as in something bad happens to you……you cannot help relate that to the bad you had done….and then life becomes miserable….no where to run…..the later you realize it…the larger it grows…..but it is inevitable….just like death…sooner or later everyone is hit by it…..what follows is pain and suffering…which is accompanied by Knowledge and wisdom…..it is only up to the person either to seek it or close his eyes and wait for a bigger lesson.
