The Boomerang

And then darkness gloomed around, it came to him as a familiar friend, who loved bullying him as a child, when he was ready to surrender to that innocent moment of joy.
It smiled to him with the viciousness with which, destiny gives hope to a drowning soul and gently draws every breath from him,
And then darkness came to him….
Like a sinking feeling of a broken heart, trying to escape rejection
It brooded all over and inside him, in his very thoughts.
There was fear, there was doubt, there was anger wanting to shout out loud.
In the deepest moments of agony and moan, he was full of shame, despair and all alone.
A tiny light twinkled deep inside, breaking the pitch black, challenging the darkness like morning twilight
“I’m not afraid” yelled that glimmer of hope, flushing the pessimism with sonorous roar.
There was a flash, across the sky illuminating the world with endless possibilities for a moment, echoing the magnanimity of what human will can achieve, reminding us, that hope is a blessing and that darkness is just absence of light.

It was the boomerang , returning to the master!!

When gravity came to me

It trickled down through the failures, like a small stream across the face of the rock...
It gently knocked at the doors of my conscience like a gift coming ,from far off shores.
The world hustled around me , and I had it in me to see it through....
When through the fog and mist of life, gravity came to me.
There is no shit to respond, no opinion to entertain.
Close all doors behind you and dive into yourself, my friend.
This gravity pulls me away from the illusion, and myth of the world,to respond.
All set to follow my heart , its time to put your dancing shoes on.

Threshold of the sea bed

A million trillion ounces of water, A mammoth could float through the sea.
I’m the sea bed lying calm and still, supporting the life with a fitting spree.
I silently watch the pod of dolphins and whales, the sea-ferns and ships, afloat.
The burden on my chest though kills me, I choose to continue support.
The threshold of the sea-bed it is, its reaching there, slowly but for sure.
A time would come that a crack would knock through me, spreading despair and no hope.
I’m the daughter of the earth and refuse to quit and crack.
I pray for strength from the almighty and tighten the screws around.
For it is for the weak to give-up and not for me to drown.

Me

I just wanna live my life, I just wanna drive my bike….
Take the random muddy turns….enjoy the occasional drizzle and hurls….
I might not qualify of being a normal guy…the flagger-mouthed Indian mislead youth…
Who thinks of only a career, cars and youth….and judges others with an eye of servitude.
I’m a misfit , off the road…I find my way and learn the tough way. I take pangas and do dangas…..If I do not like someone I make him nanga.
I do not care for reputations and accents, if you wanna get along me, respect everyone with passion.

I write poetry, to answer the questions within…..it helps me travel the path and keep the pursuit of happyness ticking.

An Ode to BHPB

Humble by action not by word. I’m an Indian IT geek and nerd.
I make a living, collecting data, about the stake  a dog.
A dog of the US of A it is. Stout and Plum and full of flesh.
Chicken candy, mutton lollypops, with Subway sauces and Indian Spices.
The Indian IT geek I am ,working on weekends and the 26th of Jan. For the American dog my friends.

I Love my blog

on the bed , I lay back....thinking about the chaos
My mind filled with fear and doubt.....can't help, I love my self.
after an aeon I opened my blog, read the random articles I'd written....
I love my self...
the answers just flew in....through the laptop screen....and healed my worries with calmness of the self.
I love my self for being an awesome blogger :)

Mid-Night Poetry

The quarter of a smile….ohh precious smile……
Where had you been, all this time.
I’d searched for you in the crowded corridors,
Of offices and shopping malls…..In the swimming pool and cinema halls.
You were near,yet so far…..short lived for a while….
The quarter of a smile……ohh precious smile.
One fine day, I found you beside me….in the car as we trudged along….
Humming together our favorite song.
I saw deep in your eyes, which sparkled like the twinkling lights.
It brought hope to me, in a manner which the lighthouses would bring to lost ships at sea.
That moment, I hardcoded in my memory, and came up with this poetry.

The Midas touch

The path is dark, wilderness all around…
A  distance barking dog seems to frown.
The mind lost in qualms, aghast. ……………When it hears a sublime start(of a guitar).
A tune it is that I hold on to…………A jingle of the rock guitar,
Coming from anonymous fingers………… travelling to unknown hearts.
The song has no lyrics, but it whispers wisdom to my soul.
Forming a sync with the thoughts unknown.

Adieus

I quit….for the views were too skewed to wonder….
I quit….for the holy cross bled with thunder ….
The “circum” of the “stances” pushed me to a bottleneck…
Causing great damage and utter wreck….
Thy shalt not mourn old friend of mine…
For the situation here is a bit sublime…..
Farewell!! Fellowmen…my last goodbyes….
Signing off, with a heavy heart and deep sighs.

* PS: this poem is dedicated to Headstrong and my colleagues there.

The Travel Blog.

Mountains, valleys, rivers and me….on my bike I drove with thee…
Diving in the abyss, zooming on the highways …..
Stopping on the random shop and the lonely byways (to pee) …
A traveler resides in my soul…which constantly searches for new goals…
where heart meets the head....in harmony with the rest
it swings, it whirls like the movie black pearl...
the pirates, the pistols and the buzzing bee......I'm the etrnal traveler...
of an eternal me.

Delhi is to north, what Bangalore is to south. In terms of location, both these cities lie almost on the same longitude. While Bangalore is a metro, centrally located to South India, same goes for Delhi.
While staying in Delhi, one could plan short car/bike trips to the following places.
West- The Lands of Rajasthan,Gujrat and Haryana lie to the west of Delhi. A weekend trip to Jaipur would be so much fun. Places like Dwarka,Ahemdabad,Jodhpur,Upaidpur,Jaiselmer can be covered over a short vacation. The highways are known to be broad and filled with quality dhabas and eat outs throughout.
South- Nothing much in the South that I have heard of apart from the wonderful six way highway through the Aravalis, connecting Delhi through Faridabad to Chandigarh.
East- Lot many places to explore east of Delhi. Starting from Haradwar, Dehradun,Mussorie, Corbet National Park, which revolves around the tarai region of the river kosi, The eastern terrain extends to Lucknow and Kanpur for an overnight drive. There is two way connectivity. First one being through the legendary grant trunk road, which passes through cities of Aligarh and bareily to reach luck now. But I will not advise this route , since most of the road is broken by heavy trucks and is Jammed most of the times. A surer alternative is the brand new six lane Yamuna Expressway, that starts from Greater Noida, runs parallel to the Yamuna river and ends up in Agra. Imagine spending an ideal weekend by a young couple, celebrating their brand new car on a smooth drive to the adobe of Romance. A definite thing on my bucket list. Another route would be through Mathura,Agra,Etawa,Kanpr,Lucknow. The Highway is in a very good condition, just for the sole reason of being under Mulayam Singh Yadav’s constituency who made sure that roads in his area were good.
Finally North- There are lot many places to visit, North of Delhi. Starting off from Himachal Pradesh, which happens to be one of the most beautiful regions of the country. Mountains here one of the highest and home to places like Shimla and Manali. The land of Punjab and J&K lie beyond this. Places like Amritsar,Kashmir,Leh,Jammu and Chandigarh are some not be missed by the travel freaks.
Being in delhi also gives you a chance to plan a trip to the Holy Vaishno Devi temple and Ajmer Sharif shrine. Not to forget, Delhi itself is home to so many national museums and monuments. As a student , I had explored the region east of delhi extensively, but as for the other places around delhi, the Juice is definitely worth the squeeze J

A Beautiful Night

This is a classical "page from the past". I happened to stumble upon this un-finished article which I had written on March 23rd 2011. It was kept hidden in a remote folder of my computer. I decided to post the unfinished random thoughts as they were....

"It’s a beautiful night, a couple of days  ago we had the supermoon, ironically after many days there is no light in my room. I could see the all-out bulb flickering against the low voltage and finally fading into darkness.
But the night has something magical about itself. A feeling of calmness and security covers me like a small boy pulling a fur coat from his closet, in the eastern European winter and wrapping it around looks outside, at the camp-fire lit by his friends, feeling the warmth through the glass window.
After a long time, I feel like writing about health and happiness. Life and well being, freedom and fun.
These are good times, it’s a beautiful night...."

and I wrote the following lines...

Her eyes had a glitter, of a free soul…
Shrinking while she grinned with the dimpled role……..
Her laughter, her expressions, her scent and her hair…….synced like the piano, playing a dream (which is) rare……
she jumps and runs ,like a doe on a ramp…
Running through the forest, in the wild calm…..
I follow her through the woods, across the highs and lows…
into the deep mountains and seas which roar……….
But mountains are too high and seas are filled with sharks,
Climbing and swimming them in poetry ,is like scratching your head for a better line :D
“La Belle dame sans Merci: is what Mr.Keats said, after his pursuit of the rampant doe….

The Extra Mile

The race seems to have ended, when he touched the finish line…
No one around, besides or behind…...as he decides to walk the extra mile…
Hoping to see her, on the horizon, running to him from nowhere…
Fooling yourself is a temptation, like the Cadbury’s éclair…
He clings to hope and fights against it, to keep the flame alive….
In spite of all odds....... he walks “the extra mile”

The Bridge of Hope

Days, Weeks and months go by…
From January to the October Sky…
November , December come and go….like a fairy riding the rainbow…
Another year, another mile…..in our journey like the Nile…
Which meanders through the sandy terrain…
Giving hope to the ones in pain….
The bridge of hope is what we walk… over the creek across the path
And when a fellow mate says good bye…who chooses to disappear in the sands of time…
I see myself on my knees….faithless, tired and so weak
I raise my head for one last time….to see a glimpse on the other side…
There is an old woman working in her shop…..preparing sweets for those who crossed…
She has wrinkles and her hands shiver…..as she cleans the shop and carries the chair….
There is no ending to her faith…in the good lord who had taken away her children (I intended to write mate here but he is still alive :))…
She waves at me from the far off shore…….like the mother encouraging a new born to roar..
“This is what the bridge of hope is!!!”….….I suddenly realize….
Connecting the darkness to the bright side(of life)
I stand on my feet awake and calm….looking around like the white swan….
My bite of enlighten…. resides in those sweets….
Across the bridge, beside the beach….
I say my goodbyes to the lost soul… Whom I’d mourned so deeply though…..
It’s time now to walk the path….which led me to that sweet shop :)
