The Boomerang

And then darkness gloomed around, it came to him as a familiar friend, who loved bullying him as a child, when he was ready to surrender to that innocent moment of joy.
It smiled to him with the viciousness with which, destiny gives hope to a drowning soul and gently draws every breath from him,
And then darkness came to him….
Like a sinking feeling of a broken heart, trying to escape rejection
It brooded all over and inside him, in his very thoughts.
There was fear, there was doubt, there was anger wanting to shout out loud.
In the deepest moments of agony and moan, he was full of shame, despair and all alone.
A tiny light twinkled deep inside, breaking the pitch black, challenging the darkness like morning twilight
“I’m not afraid” yelled that glimmer of hope, flushing the pessimism with sonorous roar.
There was a flash, across the sky illuminating the world with endless possibilities for a moment, echoing the magnanimity of what human will can achieve, reminding us, that hope is a blessing and that darkness is just absence of light.

It was the boomerang , returning to the master!!

When gravity came to me

It trickled down through the failures, like a small stream across the face of the rock...
It gently knocked at the doors of my conscience like a gift coming ,from far off shores.
The world hustled around me , and I had it in me to see it through....
When through the fog and mist of life, gravity came to me.
There is no shit to respond, no opinion to entertain.
Close all doors behind you and dive into yourself, my friend.
This gravity pulls me away from the illusion, and myth of the world,to respond.
All set to follow my heart , its time to put your dancing shoes on.

The Hitchhiker’s guide to drinking Wine

It’s been 2 months for me in the US and have come across some great beer which we do not get back home in India , like Bud Lite Platinum and Samuel Adams. I wanted to graduate to Wine drinking and didn’t have much idea about it. Hence writing this blog to capture to what I would call the Hitchhiker’s guide to drinking Wine. Hope it helps :)
Basically, I had heard about the White and Red version of the wines. I came across few other categories during my search, that would be as follows:
1.       The Red Wine – Yes that’s what we have grown up seeing, actors playing Dracula ;). Some of the categories of Red Wines are as follows:
       a.       Red Blend - Winemakers will combine different red wines in order to make a new, more complete or complex flavor to enjoy.
       b.     Malbec – Originated in Argentina and popular in France, it is made out of purple grapes which give it a red colour
       c.       Pinot Noir – It is a variety of grapes , One of the first red wines
       d.     Cabernet Sauvignon – Pronounced as (Ka-ber-ne Sau-vin-yon) is a premium red grape used to make dry wines of the same name.Dry wine means there is no residual sugar after wine formation i.e. the wine is NOT sweet.

2.     The White Wine -  is a wine whose color can be straw-yellow, yellow-green, or yellow-gold coloured
       a.     Riesling - Riesling is a white grape variety which originated in the Rhine region of Germany. Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines.
       b.     Pinot Grigio – One of the more popular Italian wines. The flavors can range from ripe tropical fruit notes of melon and mango to some botrytis-influenced flavors
       c.     Chardonnay - Beautifully integrated tropical flavors such as pineapple, mango, and papaya with citrus notes that explode in your mouth. These flavors delicately intertwine with aromas of vanilla and honey to create depth and balance throughout. A hint of toasted oak and butter rounds out the long, lingering finish.
      d.       Sauvignon Blanc – Green Grape French Wine

3.       Blush and Rose – One of the more blended, semi dry (less sweetened) wines
4.       Champagne - Champagne is a sparkling wine produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France.
5.       Sparkling Wine
6.       Sake – Yes it’s the same Japanese wine that Tom Cruise craves for in the Last Samurai.

Some of the most popular Wine Brands here were as follows
1.       Veuve Clicquot – Best Selling Champagnes
2.       Bota Box
3.       Oyester Bay
4.       Kim Crawford
5.       Josh Cellars

The House of Faith

The house of faith has many rooms.
The kitchen, where Mother Nature feeds and nourishes us.
The drawing room, where we invite family and friends to our lives.
The wash-room, where we dump all the negativity and despair to keep our faith alive.
But most importantly, the house of faith has a silent corner. A dark room, a room filled with darkness and hopelessness.
Why would such a room be allowed? I often ask.
Darkness, broods over happiness and hope and brutally murders our faith, which we had nourished all this while, with utmost care.
Is Faith that delicate? Does it need to be protected or reconciled with? I often ask.
Accepting the house of faith with the dark room is what is having true faith. God works in mysterious ways. One of his ways is to destroy what we love the most. Life is all about continuous evolution to the next level. As when the counting reaches from 0 to 9 the next number is 10 i.e. the next level.
The dark silent corner in reality is a passage to the next level for everyone who lives in the house of faith.

Procastanisation and the equation of life

Every incident happening in the universe\around us is a result to balance out an unbalanced mathematical equation.
What contributes in development of this equation is our Karma. As per the Karmic theory , every action bears a result and an individual (could be a person, society, country, planet, star) is bound by this result.
We have taken this janma so that we can assimilate the unbalanced affects of our previous karmas and balance out the equation. But in the process of doing so, we end up doing a new set of Karmas and get bound by a new set of results.

“Know what happened, happened and couldn’t have happened anyother way”-Morpheus.
Procastanisation would cause us to become hopeless and surrender to the thought above, making us weak and dis-interested in our duties.
The Bhagwad Gita :Chapter on Karma Yog- tells us to escape the vicious logic of Procastanisation.
1.       It says all new Karma shall be done as a duty.
2.       It escape from getting bound by the result of our Karmas , do the Karma as if you are performing a Yajna. i.e. making sacrifice to the holy flame.
3.       This would result in burning the deficit of your previous Karmas and helping you attain salvation.

4.       Leave the idea of control and surrender.-Hari Om Tatsat.

Threshold of the sea bed

A million trillion ounces of water, A mammoth could float through the sea.
I’m the sea bed lying calm and still, supporting the life with a fitting spree.
I silently watch the pod of dolphins and whales, the sea-ferns and ships, afloat.
The burden on my chest though kills me, I choose to continue support.
The threshold of the sea-bed it is, its reaching there, slowly but for sure.
A time would come that a crack would knock through me, spreading despair and no hope.
I’m the daughter of the earth and refuse to quit and crack.
I pray for strength from the almighty and tighten the screws around.
For it is for the weak to give-up and not for me to drown.
